I am a nurse, and I only have myself to cook for, which doesn't make cooking very fun for me. I enjoy eating homemade better than take-out or boxed food, so have been forcing myself to cook more. My mom taught me basic cooking skills as I was growing up, but since I don't do a lot of cooking, I have had to relearn my way around the kitchen. My main passion is SCUBA diving!
My favorite things to cook
Do bagged salad mixes count? I mostly fix pasta and raw veggies. I usually bake a sweet treat or make pasta salads to take to SCUBA post-dive potlucks.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Me pretending that I don't know how to cook and letting everyone else do the work. I'm easy to please, so my family thinks I'm a gratifying person to cook for. I usually get to wash the dishes.

The day my French Bread rose and baked beautifully. Success at last!
