Quinoa and Black Beans

Great flavor! You've gotta love the versatility of quinoa! I've started using quinoa in place of couscous with great results.

Rick's Special Buttercream Frosting

Really delicious and a very nice consistency for decorating. Took advice of others and used 1/2 butter and 1/2 shorteningl added vanilla extract until it "tasted" right (to me, more is better when it comes to vanilla!).

Sausage Egg Squares

This was quite good...I used turkey breakfast sausage because that is what I had. It has a really great texture, which is unusual for something that uses all low-fat ingredients.

Yummy Candied Yams

I used 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup light brown sugar and added a few dashes of ground cinnamon and ground cloves and they were delicious!!

Chicken-Fried Chops

Very good! As suggested by another reviewer, I added a bit of the drippings from the pan after I browned the chops to the gravy. It seemed to give the gravy a more "authentic" flavor.

Microwave Pralines

Delicious...but you definitely have to drop them fast once they reach the right stage (as I think is the case with all candies). Amazingly good flavor from a microwave candy!!

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

This recipe is so amazingly simple, but yet so amazingly delicious at the same time! I couldn't find the Hawaiian sea salt, but kosher salt worked just fine. I'll definitely make this again...and again!
