Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions (Mujadarrah)

This was really good. My dh and I loved it. Ifollowed some previous suggestions and used garam masala, cinnamon, garlic and cumin. It still was pretty mild. But the onions and yogurt made all the difference. Cheap and yummy. Oh and definitly go for extra onions.

Blueberry Muffins I

Ijust made these muffins and they turned out pretty good. I think more than anything they need salt added to the batter and more sugar. I added 3/4 cup and they still were not very sweet. But with those changes I would make them again.

Finnish Pannu Kakku

This is fabulous. It was very easy. I even used half whole wheat/half all purpose flour one day. It is good cold.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Creamy Chicken Lasagna

Good recipe. Easy too. I think it could benefit with some vegies such as spinach, artichokes etc. Oh and I like Emerils, Roasted garlic sauce for this.

Garlic Chicken

This was a very easy recipe. Tasty too. I do recommend patting your chicken dry first. I used frozen chicken and marinated it with the garlic oil mixture while it defrosted. So the bottom of the chicken came out kind of soggy on the bottom. Still it smelled great and tasted good. I served it with Roasted Vegetables and Egg Noodles tossed with butter, parsley, and parmesan.

Makhani Chicken (Indian Butter Chicken)

Ok. So i didn't have all of the fresh spices I needed. So as I made it it was a 4 but I bet with fresh ginger and garlic it would be a 5. My hubby said it was WOW! So go for it. I think it would be easiest if I'd done all of the measuring at one time.

Carne Guisada III

This was not like the Carne Guisada I am used to but it was really good!!! My kids even ate it and loved it. It was not even too spicy with the jalapenos.
