I'm very new to the kitchen, but I love to bake, and I'm learning how to make "real food" by following my parents around during dinner prep. I am a pesco-vegetarian (I eat seafood), and although sometimes my diet obviously causes some inconvenience, I am learning so much about the benefits of a more 'green' diet. I live a very active lifestyle - I would say that I exercise at least 30 minutes everyday, a very easy feat when you are living in such a beautiful, clean place like Vancouver! My parents are Chinese, but I was born in Canada, lived a few years in San Jose, CA, before moving back to my beloved Canada. While my parents prepare Asian cuisine 100% of the time, I probably couldn't prepare my native land's food to save my life. But I am so happy to have Asian ancestry - the delicacies that are available are so delicious and unique, and the experience of eating these at home or in China have really marred my impression of North American - Chinese dining.
