My favorite things to cook
I love making sauces, soups, and marinades. I love really bold flavors, but I hate cooks that think cilantro is the best addition to every dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a family filled with amazing home-style cooks. My mother and grandmother opened a catering business before I was born, and I have grown up in the business. I was mostly taught by my grandmother, with her "down on the farm" type foods she would have prepared for her siblings during the Great Depression. Just good, homemade food.
Everyone in Toledo knows about "Ida's chicken," our secret family recipe that is our company's claim to fame.
My cooking triumphs
Rumor has it I may some pretty awesome stuffed shells.
And if you are a fan of bacon, try my bacon, cheese and asparagus stuffed chicken breasts, fried in bacon fat and topped with bacon for that triple bacon goodness!
My cooking tragedies
Alright, I admit me. My pancakes suck. I cannot for the life of me make a great pancake. Good sometimes, alright more often, and on one occasion was only slightly more palatable than cardboard.
