About this Cook
I am a stay at home mother of 4 very energetic children! I have a great husband whom I will also call my guinea pig for all my recipes I make! If it doesn't taste good to him then I don't serve it. (Lucky for me that doesn't happen often)
My favorite things to cook
Everything especially breakfast foods( I am a firm believer in the saying "BREAKFAST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY")!!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
The holidays are the most special to me going to my mother's house and every one is there and everyone (all the ladies in the family) are helping out in the kitchen. Everyone has a job down to the youngest girl in the family which is my 4-year-old. In our family it is not only about being with family it is also about having fun learning, and of course the food!!!!
My cooking triumphs
The shredded BBQ beef roast I make for the teacher's luncheon at my kids school! ( It feeds 36 people and it got rave reviews for the last for 4 years)!! ( Until I found the Harvey Ham sandwich recipe here and we have another winner)
My cooking tragedies
Custard Pie, and my very first lasagna when I first got married I was 19, (not as experienced at cooking as I am now), and I put plastic wrap on it instead of foil to cover it in the oven and of course it melted! Now my husband always jokes with me when I make lasagna and he asks if his piece is plastic free!
