Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini
My husband and I loved this, so when my mom needed a main dish for a church dinner for 18 adults, I made her a batch. She loved it, and so did the church group. It was "just different enough" to still be a crowd-pleaser.
The only changes I made were for convenience. I used a can of peeled/diced tomatoes, substituted jar spaghetti sauce for a can since I had it on hand, and used bulk Italian sausage instead of removing the casings. Still tasted great!
