About this Cook
I'm a stay-at-home mom of 1 (#2 coming soon to a theater near you!), married for 3 years to my awesome husband, and I like collecting and cooking recipes...obviously
My favorite things to cook
Hmm...anything that turns out awesome in the end. I've been trying new things, so I don't know what my favorite is right now. I don't really have solid, go-to kinds of recipes as of yet!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday cooking- well, desserts are most fun to make for the holidays. I also like the Fall season when we go get pumpkins, squash and apples and make a bunch of great stuff out of them! Gingerbread houses and sugar cookies are a fun thing we like to do too- and making some pies!
My cooking triumphs
My DH no longer says, "Oh no!" when I am cooking dinner, so that's a triumph in itself! Next one to go: Getting my toddler to eat veggies...hahaha...that will be a true victory!
My cooking tragedies
There was once an incident with a pizza crust...my pizza filling was overflowing, so I decided to make a calzone...so I sprinkled ALOT of red pepper flakes on the inside first, folded it over and stuck it in the oven. It came out quite a mess, and too fiery to eat since the red pepper flakes were getting stuck in our throats. To top it off, I had never taken it off the WOODEN pizza board, so I cooked our board too...it's still here, but it's got a pretty good crack in it. It still works, I'll get a new one some day!

Baked Zucchini Chips
These are fantastic! Even if they get cool, they are still tasty! One thing though, mine did not come out crispy, but that didn't change the fact that these are delicious!

Sunflower Chicken Salad
This was pretty good. I didn't have cubed cheddar, so I used shredded and I also didn't use the celery just because I forgot. Even with my slight alterations, it was pretty good though. I made dill whole wheat bread and put it on there, yum!

Tuna Noodle Casserole II
My husband liked this, he said the potato chips on the top were "awesome". I, however, thought it could use a bit more flavor, maybe more onion and some spices. Over all, it was creamy and good though.
