I come from a family of 9. I have been cooking since I was 9 years old. Being from a large family, it is difficult to re-learn to cook for 2. My father was a baker and my mother was a wonderful cook who taught me a lot about baking and cooking I don't really have a favorite thing, but I love to cook from scratch. If I can find a way to make up a recipe from scratch, I will. It just tastes better. My 4 sisters always do a cookie swap at Christmas. I have really come to enjoy doing this every Christmas. I don't really have anything that I would call a triumph. If the dishes I cook turn out good, and my husband and family enjoy them, I consider those triumps. I don't really have any recent tragedies, but after having a father who was a baker, I still have never been able to make a decent loaf of bread!
