These were AMAZING!I followed the recipe as is. The only thing that I wasn't sure about is that it personally tasted like there was a little too much clove. But, I tend to have a special sensitivity to the taste of clove. Next time, I think I might half the clove. I made a dozen last night and my husband ate 5 that night. I got two, and the rest went to work with him the next day. I plan on making more for a Christmas party coming up.

perhaps I didn't do it right, but nothing about this cake was good (except the crust, which was yummy). the cake itself was VERY lemony, and the texture was just not right. I kept checking to make sure I was doing everything correctly and it LOOKED okay, but I was not pleased with the taste.(my husband liked it though).

tasted good, but a tad yeasty. I'm thinking next time I might had a few seasonings to it. definitely makes two crusts (or one very thick crust).
