Easy Pumpkin Turnovers

These are very simple and pretty. They are a nice alternative to pie. Dusted with sugar, as someone suggested and they taste yummy. Not really exciting, but good for a change this time of year.

Extra Easy Pumpkin Cookies

Oh man, these are soooo tastey and easy to make! They are essentially little pieces of spongy cake, but who cares when they taste this great?!

me: 3 1/2; husband: 4 stars. We have amazing sunbeam squash from our garden and this was a good way to use it. The bread crumb mix turned out gummy--not cooked long enough? I will try it again because it has potential of being great! Only distastful part was the look and texture of the bread crumb mix. The cheese and squash were wonderful.

Broiled Herb Butter Chicken

I used boneless skinless breasts and took advice to "tent" them to keep juices in. I used sliced white onions on top. The garlic and herbs were Great! The chicken was a titch dry still, but my husband and I were happy. I covered it completely for 20 min. and broiled it for 7 minutes. Pretty and tasty. Thank you for this simple recipe (without cheese or cans of soup!)

French Butter Cakes (Madeleines)

Of all the recipes, I chose to try this Madeleine first, based on reviews (though other photos were better). These are VERY FUN TO MAKE, which is great! I felt like a fancy-pants. And they taste wonderful! I beat the egg-sugar mixture for ages, as was recommended. Everything else to a 'T'. Thanks!

Blueberry Pancakes

My husband gives the pancakes 5 stars. They were easy to make and beautiful. Actual batter was pretty mellow. Flavor depended heavily on quality of blueberries and spices. Blueberries are in season! We really liked these cakes.
