While living in England, I met my husband and he was in USAF, so I was fortunate to be able to live in Germany for 3 years and then Arizona, Texas and we retired in Nevada. I enjoy making chicken curry. My Mum cooked this when I was younger, although mine is very good, it still does not turn out like my Mums. I also like making my own marinera sauce for pasta dishes. I try my hand in baking. My Mum made christmas pudding and would insert small coins into the pudding and whoever got the coins got to keep them. Attempting to make bread (not using the bread machine) and they really turned out well. This is still a work in progress. My husband and I decided to barbeque chicken on the grill. He left them for about 3 minutes to go upstairs and when he came down to check on the chicken, I guess the fat must have sparked on the flames and the chicken was charred and we had to do take out.
