About this Cook
Married and in law school (read: short on money and time) but try to put a decent dinner on the table regardless.
My favorite things to cook
Brownies. Cake. Cookies. Pie. And yes, maybe I do have a bit of a sweet tooth.
My cooking triumphs
My husband and I did our first Thanksgiving dinner entirely on our own - homemade rolls, a turkey, real mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie... it was a happy accomplishment, especially given that we had less than two feet of counter space in that kitchen and didn't own a rolling pin or potato masher.
My cooking tragedies
I burn things, a lot (that's the problem with trying to squeeze some studying in while dinner's cooking). I'm one of those people that doesn't dare cook without a recipe... my one attempt to be innovative a few years ago led to the most disgusting mayonnaise-pasta salad known to mankind.

Easy Banana Brownies
This brownie is perfect! For over a year, I've been trying several different brownie recipes a month... this is the best one so far. The texture is absolutely wonderful. I made the recipe exactly according to directions, except I added 1/3 c. semisweet chocolate chips to the batter right before baking. So good!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake
Definitely good. I didn't have a bundt pan, so I used a 13x9 and increased the topping to 3/4 c. brown sugar and 2 t cinnamon (nut allergy - I left them out altogether). Ended up baking it, with frozen berries, for 55 minutes and it was perfect.
