Hi,everyone.I am 44 yrs. old and I've been married for almost 17 yrs. to Rick.We have no children. We enjoy being together, biking, going out into the country for walks, exploring, and watching college football games on saturdays. We are BIG Notre Dame Fighting Irish fans and also Kentucky Wildcat fans.I love playing on the computer, reading, cooking (but,of course...) and I also love reality t.v. shows like Survivor,Amazing Race,Kid Nation, etc. We have 2 kitties named Miss Mini Baker and Sr. Smoky Bear.We also love to travel and Gatlinburg is our most favorite travel destination.
My favorite things to cook
My fave things to cook are chicken recipes because we both love chicken and we are trying real hard to eat healthy.I also love to bake at the holidays.I love trying out new recipes for appetizers and also making new cake recipes.I also like making italian dishes because they are really simple and don't require much time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Number one has to be my deviled eggs for our annual christmas party......I absolutely have to make them or I'll really hear about it.I also must make my cocktail meatballs for the same party.I usually make some type of chocolate cake for christmas day.
My cooking triumphs
Too many to list but my most recent was this spice/pumpkin snack cake that I made.I got the recipe from one of those kraft recipe magazines that come out a few times a year.It was really suberb! Believe it or not it was the first time I ever tried to make homemade icing and it turned out so good! Making homemade icing has always been my biggest weakness.
My cooking tragedies
Haven't had too many of these,at least not in some time. When I first got married over 16 yrs. ago I tried to make up my own recipe for lemon chicken and it was the most awful thing I ever made! I wanted to chuck it in the trash but my sweet husband ate it anyway.
