About this Cook
Cooking is definitely a hobby for me and never something i could pursue as a career. I like to try new things, but I'm always on the lookout for a good Mexican dish. I want my 7 year old son to learn cooking basics now when he's young and he loves to help and learn so we're a great team in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make all kinds of deserts. Especially cheesecakes. I can't get enough Mexican food, I absolutely love Mexican!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother taught me how to cook when i was in my late teens. Eventually, when i finally did show an interest, she showed me a lot and i would like to make some new memories in the kitchen with my son.
My cooking triumphs
I would consider myself a well rounded cook, although I am still humble enough to admit that there is still much more i can learn. My biggest cooking triumph, to date, would be understanding basic herbs and seasonings and how they either work or don't work in certain dishes.
My cooking tragedies
I can't cook breakfast with out burning it. There's just too much to do and too little time. I only cook one thing for breakfast now and just make cereal or have granola bar to go with it.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta
This is so good. I felt like this should have some meat in it to bring it together. So I tenderized/flattened two chicken breasts, dipped them in lemon juice, then sprinkled them w/ garlic salt and ground pepper. I then grilled them on a cast iron griddle and added the chicken to the sauce once it was finished. I served the sauce over linguine. I will definately make this again. My 7yr old asked for seconds!

Bagel and Cheese Dip
Used whipped cream cheese, added garlic powder, and dried chives. Not bad. But very easy. Enjoy!
