my name is ray-ray. I live presently in SC, but i am a missionary kid & have traveled all over the globe. i have lots of brothers & sisters, 6 to be exact, & i'm the oldest, being 14. i am crazy for God & dancing
My favorite things to cook
bread (my fam eats up 2 loaves a day) any type of soup & stew- lentil stew being favorite any type of dessert that includes whipped cream :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
my mom isn't to big on cooking & my dad is a one-of-a-kind chef who has developed the fine art of improvising- so not really any traditions.

Cranberry Apple Pie
this was so good! i made the pie the day befour,left out and covered overnight, then just heated the pie up in the oven befour serving. wasn't runny or anything. be sure to use tart apples! otherwise it will be too sweet. would definitely recommend for Thanksgiving.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake
this was good, but the center didn't firm up at all. it more like cheesecake with cheesecake pudding in the middle. i had to bake it an extra 45 min. maybe overbeating??? other then that, it tastes good, although i prefer a denser cheesecake. i also put in chocolate chip cookie dough & that was pretty good.

White Chocolate Cheesecake with White Chocolate Brandy Sauce
this was really good. it was wonderfully dense & chocolaty. i omitted the brandy from the sauce & didn't like it at all. it was better with-out the sauce
