Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

My husband didn't like the first batch because of the cloves - he said it reminded him too much of a Thanksgiving ham. He LOVED the second batch (I used all spice in stead of cloves).

It took tree attempts for me to get the yeast activated - but I would do it all over again. I read that some people added cheese - since I had a few laughing cow cubes left (onion flavored) I added them - THIS WAS A GREAT RECIPE!!! My husband and son both enjoyed it!

Quick Pour Fondant Icing

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

I read the reivew and just had to try this cookie. It was better than I thought it would be!!! Too bad I'm on a diet - I ate one and sent the rest to work with my husband. Perfect "Welcome to the Neighborhood" treat!

N'Awlins Stuffed Bell Peppers

OMG!!! This was amazing and EXACTLY what I remember from home! Since relocating to Huntsville after Hurricane Katrina I search the web constantly for "Nawlins" style dishes. This year my husband and I hosted Thanksgiving. My husband and my in-laws are all from up north so I had to represent my culture (Creole) and city. This was a GREAT, the ONLY change I made was draining the fat from the beef and replaced it with beef broth (I tried to cut calories anywhere possible). I didn't measure, just eyeballed it. Well... I did add a cap full of Zatarian's Garlic and Onion Crab Boil for a little kick. EVERYONE loved them...
