I grew up watching Fried Green Tomatoes with mom and have ALWAYS wanted to eat them. A few years ago I tried to make some and they were AWFUL...so I tried this recipe with some trepidation, but they turned out DELICIOUS! Even my friend that doesn't really like tomatoes enjoyed them.
