I'm clearly incredibly cool.
About this Cook
I'm an interior design student in Seattle, and I'd like to have my own custom furniture, interior design, and green home conversion business. I love lobster bisque.
My favorite things to cook
I don't know! I can barely cook anything!
My cooking triumphs
Well, if I follow the recipe, usually I do okay, and I'm such a beginner I consider that a triumph!

Old-Fashioned Lemonade
Oh, YUM. First time I made this I didn't have a pitcher, so I just reduced the serving to 1 and it was EXCELLENT. I thought the balance of tart and sweet was perfect...but then I do have a bit of a sweet tooth when it comes to drinks. It just didn't taste overly sweet to me. Yum yum yum, I'm going to go make some more right now!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken
I followed this recipe, and tossed in half a diced onion and some minced garlic, and it was really dry and bland. I was really disappointed. I don't understand why this has gotten such high reviews!

Dorm Room Chili Mac
I can understand why the other reviewer's boyfriend liked this dish, even though he didn't really like macaroni and cheese - it tastes like chili with macaroni in a creamy sauce with only the softest, faintest whisper of the cheese in "macaroni and cheese." The flavor of the chili (I used Nalley) masked the delightful synthetic flavor of the macaroni and cheese, which is why I (and I must assume everyone else) would ever elect to eat macaroni and cheese. Or maybe my palate is just not cultured enough to detect the subtle flavors of the cheese through the chili. I don't know. In any case, it was all right. Not good, not bad. It didn't satisfy my need for CHEESE, which is an ever present and ever persistant need.
