I lived my whole life in Kent, WA, graduated from high school, and recently moved to Germany for my dad's work. Right now I'm learning to cook, hanging with my new friends, and thinking about schools. At this point in my life, I'm not quiet sure what I want to do as a career. Although I'm certain I want to be an author, I know I need a job that will support me. My Mom has done all the cooking before I got over here. The only thing I ever cooked before was cookies, because well as I kid I loved cookies. But now being older, and wanting to be more dependent I started to help my Mom cook in the kitchen. Then I got an idea. I asked her if I could cook one day a week. Since I have nothing on Tuesday, I’m the new Tuesday chef at our place.
My favorite things to cook
Really any desserts are fun to make, and main dishes with meatt smell so good! One of my favorite memories was making my own salad with bacon, and my own dressing for it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We're Irish, so every St. Patrick's Day my Mom makes her famous cobbage potato stew.
My cooking triumphs
Most of all my food turned out good and flavorful, yet the Tropical Salad with Pineapple Vinaigrette was my most recent meal that was a defiant five star for our family.
My cooking tragedies
On my first day to bring food to youth group of about thirty people, I decided to make my own fruit salad. I went to the store and bought a variety of different fruits, and cherry yogurt. Later when eatting I discovered a very sour taste. Who knew pinneapple didn't go with grapefruit?
