Grandma Ople's Apple Pie
This is an exceptional Apple Pie! I'm not a big fan of apple pie normally, but I too was intruiged by pouring the filling over the top crust, so I gave it a shot. Made a homemade crust that I usually make for blueberry pie (buttermilk powder gives it a delicious zing) and used 4 large granny smiths and 2 rome apples...also added the cinnamon to the apple mixture. I never thought I'd say this, but I could eat this entire pie by myself. And the lattice top...totally worth the effort! Thank you Grandma Ople.
