if we thought...what type of animal would we be and why?.

i am like a basset hound...sad looking, hates to be alone, has short legs and well kinda sorta big hips...very sad eyes, gets hurt easily but loves greatly...and will be strong when necessary..gets along well with others..but dislike mean people...then.. also likes to sleep when possible...and well of course eat...when someone else cooks it...your turn....

Hi Smitty-Poo! I was just telling someone that I'm kind of like a puppy - eager, friendly, and clumsy. But that's only part of the time. The other part of the time I am like an old mutt; lazy, bored, and jaded. I like my puppy moments better because, even if I look ridiculous, I'm still a little cute when I trip over myself. Thanks for the post! ♥

I'd most definitely have to be a cocker spaniel puppy. Curly, blonde(at least this month)hair, high energy, strong willed, easily distracted, interested in anyone and everything. But ... I don't chew my shoes or poop on the floor.

I am a very stubborn, independent thinker and incredibly opinionated, which makes me think I'm a cat, an ordinary house cat that will not do what you say just because you say it. But I may also be part greyhound as I'm very disciplined and dedicated and constantly working toward the next goal I've set....wow, don't I sound pleasant to be around, a stubborn workaholic, LOL.

Depends on the day, some days I'm the long-haired housecat. You know the one, the cranky old lady in a cheap fur coat, other days I'm the 14 year old Golden Retriever. The lazy, loyal, loving, old girl that just needs a nap.

I would be a border collie. Working all the time. Can't stop and rest, have to find another sheep. As I look at my JoJo though, she is sleeping, getting old and cannot move about too much anymore, just dreams about finding sheep and running in her sleep.

I would have to say a dolphin. Loves to swim, very smart and trainable, and enjoy hanky panky for pleasure not procreation only!

I'm like a cat - I like to be alone most of the time, but when I crave company I'll bug you to death until you give in and give me some attention. I love you when you're nice to me, but cross me once and I'll make sure you remember it for the rest of your (or my) life. I like privacy when I take care of hygienic issues (well...MY cats like privacy LOL), so no grownups (not even the DBF), kids, dogs, or other critters allowed in the loo when I'm doin' my thing...whether it's a quick powderin' of the nose or a full-on shower/shampoo/shave/exfoliate/moisturize session.

I would have to say a lion. Female lion when I want to be social, get things done, and I can't forget about "the eye" I give my kids when they are being bad. Male lion when I want to be left alone and lazy.

I'd have to say I'm sort of like an Orangutan...I have super long arms and I like to hang around in tree's. (OK, maybe I fibbed a bit on the last part but I'm not kidding about my arms.)

can I get in on this? I am a jack russell terrier. no doubt about it. I have no attention span, i like shiny objects and running after small animals. I am over protective of my humans and convinced I can take on the world. Oh and if you tick me off I will bite your ankle

I would be a pampered and loved cute house dog like my Chancy. I would go to Dog Gone Beautiful for a haircut and style. I would be well fed, lots of pets and kisses, and SLEEP a lot! Also, lots of doggy treats.

Well here goes...hi to all as it's my first comment here...I...would be...a cat..but not just any cat, one of those spoilt rotten sleek and sophisticated stubborn self centered self loving cats! One who owns you, and demands attention when it is convenient and sends you with your tail between your legs if disturbed unwanted....hehehehehe or is that just me dreaming again LOL...then again, cats were gods in one of their lifetimes hheheh

I'm mostly like a rottweiler...very loyal and defensive of my territory and my "master." I can be stubborn and/or fiesty. I can be vicious if challenged, but am more often than not a friendly, easy-going pup!

Sadie is so cute! I love bassets! I have one myself and I can definitely see that he and I have many of same things in common: desire to be around the people we love, not necessarily to do something fun, but just to spend time with them; love of food; tendency to worry; a peaceful and devoted nature, etc. Sometimes though, when I feel like I do nothing but work, I sometimes confuse myself for a pack mule. ;) More of these types of blog questions, please! I know I'm late on this blog but here goes: I am like My Chihuahua... strongly loyal to few people, distrustful of strangers, anxious often. I seek out calm people to be with. I have my grumpy mornings where I don't want to get out of my bed and won't answer when called but other days I'm warm, friendly, and happy. I enjoy food and big comfy beds. It's funny because chihuahuas get a bad rap but she's actually the happiest dog I own...

The only thing I can't figure out is what animal has a sense of humor... because that's me. I make a joke of everything. I laugh to keep from crying. I LOL at the world- I'm very giggly. But my dear chihuahua has NO sense of humor... what animal does?? Maybe in that way I'm an otter. Always having fun no matter what's going on...

Well hiya Smitty Poo, wish I'd seen this sooner! I will go ahead and tell you right off that I am definitely a cat; though which one of my four cats I can't say. Sometimes I am the sweet cuddly "Tinkerbell", who is friends with anybody who will pet her, and who guards all entrances to the kitchen (only those who will feed her can come in?) sometimes I am "Esau", who must sit atop the highest perch, keeping an eye on everyone, and letting them know if they are out of line; sometimes I am "Mouse", who really just wants to be left alone to rest, grumpy because I am in pain; sometimes our long lost "Tabitha" who was so eager to see me she would jump up in my arms like a dog, the closest of snuggly cuddliness when I want to be! (I sure do miss my 'Tabby girl'.) Thanks Smitty for the fun blog. Hope you are well! ~v
