About this Cook
I am just a southern gal trying to do my best with what I have in life.
My favorite family cooking traditions
thanksgiving. from meats to veggies and best of all desserts, no one walked away hungry or unsatisfied.
My cooking tragedies
I was making a huge batch of dressing for a thanksgiving meal at work and was in a time crunch. it was late when it came out of the oven and i just put it straight into the fridge to cool for the night. the next day when we went to reheat it there was an awful smell comeing from it. lesson learned, items put into fridge to hot will sour.

Broccoli Crawfish Cheese Soup
absolutly delicious. when we boil crawfish we add mushrooms to the mix and they really soak up the great flavors. so i had a bag of frozen crawfish tails and these mushrooms that i used for the soup. besides the addition of the mushrooms i made this exactly as stated and i would not change a thing.

Cajun Pasta Fresca
This is an ok dish. i made exactly as written, fresh tomatoes and all. as is i would not make again but if i did decide to make again the main thing i would leave out is the mozzarella. it seemed odd in this dish. i think it may have been added into the recipe as a thickener, but it really messes up the consistency of this simple pasta dish.

Scrumptious Frosted Fudgy Brownies
I can't beleive i am just know getting around to reveiwing these brownies. I have been making these for over a year now and have never had any problems or complaints with these. these are the absolute best brownies out there. restaurant quality, dark rich chocolate taste. i make without the frosting and like to serve with blue bell homemade vanilla icecream. thanks again celeste for this recipe.
