About this Cook
I am just a southern gal trying to do my best with what I have in life.
My favorite family cooking traditions
thanksgiving. from meats to veggies and best of all desserts, no one walked away hungry or unsatisfied.
My cooking tragedies
I was making a huge batch of dressing for a thanksgiving meal at work and was in a time crunch. it was late when it came out of the oven and i just put it straight into the fridge to cool for the night. the next day when we went to reheat it there was an awful smell coming from it. lesson learned, items put into fridge to hot will sour.

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew
Followed advice on other reviews. I halved the recipe because I was only cooking for two. Changed garlic salt to garlic powder, halved the black pepper, only added half of a bullion cube. I added about 1/2 cup chicken stock and 1/2 cup milk to give it some creaminess. Overall a good recipe if you change the salt ratios. Super easy to make.
