About this Cook
I am 49 yrs. old, happily married. We have four sons, all grown up now. We also have three Grandchildren, ages, 4, 3, and 1. I no longer work, so I have plenty of time to "experiment" with new recipes. My husband never knows what to expect for dinner when he comes home.
My favorite things to cook
I can't really say that I have one favorite thing to cook. To some people cooking is a chore, but to me, if I could I'd have my own little bakery. I do love to bake. I often make dozens of cookies on the weekend so my husband can take them to work with him and share. All of his workers love the cookies I make.
My cooking triumphs
Having all of our kids and Grandkids along with my husband's family here for Chhristmas of 2006. I did all the cooking and baking for days on end, but it was so well worth all the satisfied faces after everyone ate.
My cooking tragedies
That was the first time I made a turkey for Thanksgiving. I had just gotten married and we decided to have his family of nine to our home. I thought everything was going good, til we sat at the table and my mother-in-law asked me why I didn't put the giblets in the dressing. I looked at her and said there weren't any. And she asked me if I looked in the birds cavity. Now why would I do that??? lol But once we took all the dressing out of the bird....lo and behold there it was, along with the neck. But hey, it was cooked.....I never made that mistake again and now it is thirty one years later.

Soft Sugar Cookies III
I absolutely love this cookie. I make several dozen every week so my husband can take them to work. The guys at my husbands job can't get enough of them...Thanks for a great recipe!
