About this Cook
Mom to 3 girls. I'm kept busy with my job, kids, hubby. I love to bake for my family and they always enjoy what I make. I expiriment constantly and through taste tests and trials have come up with some pretty awesome dishes!
My favorite things to cook
I guess my favorite thing to cook is anything that makes my family smile and put them in a state of awe because of how great it tastes! Seriously though, I love to make chicken (I have an awesome rub for it) and lasagne. I only make my lasagne a couple times a year- it is by far the absolute best lasagne and each time I make it, it gets rave reviews!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Something I started a while back was making stuffed mushrooms on Christmas eve when we get together as a family. These are so good, but they are messy! Everyone always looks forward to them.
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made brownies from scratch.....not sure what I messed up but I forgot to add something to the recipe and they tasted like dirt. They actually tasted muddy- they were pretty gross and even though it had to be 17 years ago, nobody lets me live it down!

Apple Muffins
These muffins were excellent. I took the advise of another review and added the 'crumble' top, doubled the cinnamon and apples.

Easy Spicy Roasted Potatoes
I give these 5 stars because they are great! I make them slightly different; I use three tbsp. of onion soup mix and olive oil. I put the potatoes in a plastic resealable bag and toss them in the olive oil and onion soup mix. I have used other spice/herb combinations but the onion soup mix is by far our families favorite! Great recipe!

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies
I've been using this recipe for as long as I've been making cookies and they are fantastic. I do change things up a little bit- I don't use peanuts, I use chocolate chunks, M&M's or chocolate chips. They are really great with that added bit of sweetness!
