About this Cook
I'm a new Mom and I am trying out the stay at home mom thing! So far, I love it, and so does my husband because it give me time to make him some really special meals. (He loves to be my guinea pig!)
My favorite things to cook
I LOVE to make home made pasta sauce. The way I make it is from home grown tomatoes and it takes about 6 hours to cook. I also love to try new things and experiment with ideas. I don't usually follow recipes to the letter, but love to take on new ideas.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We are Italian, so I love our seafood feast on Christmas Eve. We have shrimp, both boiled and fried. Lobstertails, king crab legs and baked clams. The Christmas day we have homemade ravioli's. YUM!!!
My cooking triumphs
I recently made dinner for my father, who is wonderful cook. I made him a beef brisket which I had never made before and could only find recipes to make it BBQ. I made up my own recipe and my father loved it.
My cooking tragedies
I got a new sauce pot and decided to try it out using my last harvest of home grown tomatoes. The bottom of the pot was not thick enough and the sauce burned, ruining the entire pot of sauce. There is no saving burnt sauce and I had to wait until the following summer for home grown tomatoes.

BBQ Chuck Roast
I found this recipe a bit salty for my taste. I would not add any additional salt next time. Over all a crowd pleaser, however, next time I will tweak it a bit. Great idea to do on the grill.
