Ever since I was a little kid, I've hated ketchup! I don't know why, I've tried it several times through-out the years and I just want to gag every time I taste it. I do not have a bottle in my fridge, I use other stuff in meatloaf or other recipes that call for ketchup. BBQ sauce is a great… MORE

About this Cook
I have been married for almost 4 years. Being married to an electrician, we may have to drop everything and move, so I live in a rv. We have three 4-legged kids: 2 dogs: Puppa and Sasha and one mouthy girl cat named Dave. I am a cocktial waitress/musician/dj. I love to cook anything and that is what helps me relax. My favorite cuisines are Thai, Mexican and Italian. I live by Mt. St. Helens in Washington state, but I am from Forks, the little town made famous by the Twilight movie. I love to travel, I like to read, especially cookbooks or magazines, I am venturing into baking and after working in a restaurant, I NEVER want to own one.
My favorite things to cook
Mexican, Italian, seafood, bbq, chicken
My favorite family cooking traditions
i don't really have any family traditions except the fact that I'm Irish and can make a mean colcannon.
My cooking triumphs
I made a "kitty litter" cake for a co-worker--grey icing, grapenuts and almond roca--even a lavendar kitty litter scoop to serve the thing with--it was hilarious!!
My cooking tragedies
anything I try to bake that doesn't come from a box, although this site has improved my baking skills threefold...thank to all of you here!

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast
I know this recipe has a ton of great reviews, but I have to add mine in as well...I don't know as I will ever do a turkey breast in the oven again! This is phenominally moist and delicious. I cooked on high for 5 hours to cut down on cooking time and it even got a touch of brown on it. I can't say enough good things about this amazingly simple and delicious recipe!

Honey Fried Chicken
I just got done making this and it is fantastic. In reading the reviews, I did alter slightly by adding dijon mustard into the honey and I used some bread crumbs in the flour mixture with some cayenne. I will be making this recipe on a regular basis from now on...thanks for a super recipe!

Frosted Nutmeg Logs
This recipe does make cookies that taste like eggnog. I made several types of cookies last christmas and these were one of my favorites. Thanks for a great recipe that will now be a yearly tradition!
