About this Cook
I was born in Lima, Peru. I came to USA at age 13 in 1996. My grandma, mom, dad and well everyone in my house never let me and my sister cook, I guess I was spoiled, believe or not my mom was still cooking for me until I move out with my boyfriend and now I cook every single day and I love it, and its a little odd but Im good at it. I can even bake!!
My favorite things to cook
I like cooking peruvian food: Lomo Saltado and Chaufa
My favorite family cooking traditions
Peruvian food is based on seasoning almost everything with black pepper, salt and oregano. Peruvians love to make everything fresh, till this day my grandma goes to the market everyday. She loves to make Olluquito, Ceviche, Cau Cau, etc. etc
My cooking triumphs
I made a delicious Picante de Mariscos and I baked a Chocolate cake
My cooking tragedies
So far its been good, I got slightly burn baking a picante de pescado but my boyfriend got it worse, I was toasting some bread and he just being noisy try to turn them over the minute I turned around, he put his whole hand inside the toaster!!
