I am 29 years old and started to learn how to cook when I was 9 years of age. I used to watch my grandmother in the kitchen and became very interested in how things were made. She learned how to cook from her mother and so on and so forth.
My favorite things to cook
I cant really pick a favorite since I like cooking everything I know how to make but if I had to choose I would say my favorites are mexican dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Mostly mexican rice ( most people call it spanish rice but since we're mexican not spanish I call it "mexican rice") and enchiladas. I have yet to taste rice or enchiladas better than my grandmothers.
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered the art of making most of my families dishes after lots of practice.
My cooking tragedies
well sometimes plans dont come out as we expected. There have been times when I burned stuff, overboiled stuff, forgot I had the something on the stove and lit the stove on fire. Oh and this one time I baked a cake just to have it fall apart as I removed it from the pan. I actually was to stubborn to through it away so I just put it on a plate and frosted it anyway.
