About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love baking cakes and cutting out sugar cookie shapes with my little niece.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking and eating lumpia, lechon, and pansit at Filipino family parties. Yum!
My cooking triumphs
Mastering enchiladas verdes.
My cooking tragedies
the first batch of chocolate chip cookies I ever made by myself when I was 8 years old, when I put in a 1/2 cup of baking soda in my batter instead of a 1/2 teaspoonful. I was devastated.

Peanut Butter Bars I
Everytime I make these for anyone, I get asked for the recipe- no fail. They are so gooey and a little messy to eat, but trust me- no one will mind. Just grab a spoon and dig in :) I use milk chocolate instead of semisweet. Yum!

World's Best Pasta Sauce!
This sauce is great on spaghetti. I used (2) 8 oz cans of tomato sauce instead of the 6.5 oz cans and the recipe still turned very flavorful. This one is a keeper!

Pumpkin Sheet Cake
I've made this recipe every Thanksgiving and Christmas for the past 2 years and at each event, there is never a bite left over. This cake is perfect finish to a rich dinner. It has just the right amount of sweet in it to compliment a cup of coffee. This recipe is perfect for those who don't care for rich chocolatey desserts.
