About this Cook
Always was afraid to cook, couldn't even boil water until I got engaged and my fiance moved in! Finally learning some tricks to throwing together a tasty treat and loving every minute of it.
My favorite things to cook
I love making lasagna and my fiance raves about it. Pretty much anything I can make on the fly like salads and desserts that I can add and change ingredients but not totally screw up!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love cooking for my family...my son (4) and I both try tackling recipes as he likes to watch me cook. While he is extremely picky and refuses to eat half of what we male my fiance and I love to sit down and eat together later on!
My cooking triumphs
Just learning how to do anything in the first place!

Mom's Cheesecake
I really did not like the consistency of this cheesecake....much too eggy and you could hardly taste the cream cheese, so disapointing because the batter tastes wonderful. You can find a much better recipe with half the cooking time and way better, more consistent results.

White Chocolate Chunk Cookies
The best cookies I've ever made...we ate a whole sheet of them that night! I used baking powder instead of soda by accident and omitted the nuts.I also didn't chill the dough and even with minor changes they came out great. We took them out when the edges started to brown and they were perfect, I even overcooked one batch by 3-4 minutes and they were still very good.

Peanut Butter Bars II
Absolutely wonderful! The outsides were a little cakeish for me but the middle's were TO DIE FOR! Definitely do not overcook.
