USMC SOS
Really good! I made a few alterations. first, I used onion and garlic in browning the meat. worchesteshire sauce as others added too. the ratio of fat to flour in the roux didnt' work for me. I had globs of flour, not a smooth paste. tossed that and made it one to one ratio. that worked great. I used about 3/4 of the can of evap milk to the 1 cup beef broth, added some dill to the whole thing, and served over pasta. the kiddos gobbled it up! the hub raved.

Sloppy Joes II
I will NEVER use canned crud again!!! I've made this twice now.. once exactly as written w/ground beef, and it was huge huge hit! my picky 5yr old raved.. and ate an entire sandwhich! that's HUGE for her!! the second time I made it, I used the sauce recipe as is(except doubled the recipe), and put it over shredded cooked turkey breast meat that I had leftover. Put the sauce, the turkey meat and some diced onions in a crock pot, mixed it all up well, and set to low until it just started to bubble. Turned it to warm until I was ready to serve. Again.. a huge huge hit!!! This will be put into regular rotation in my house now.. be it w/ground beef as tradtional sloppy joes, or shredded beef, pork, chicken or turkey as a sort of pulled meat bbq sandwhich. YUM!!
