Fat Free Tartar Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2009
Great recipe. I made at the last minute and did a bunch of alterations and it still tasted great! I had fat-free mayo, added 1 baby dill pickle diced with juice, onion powder, a dash of lemon juice, cayaenne pepper and vinegar and ate it right then. Yum!

Groovy Green Smoothie

Was good but very, very sweet. I will omit one ingredient next time - probably the apple.

Applesauce Oatmeal Cookies

Was very good. Added chocolate chips to half, and walnuts and cranberries to the other half. Added nutmeg, cinammon and vanilla - yum!

Pepper, Onion & Feta Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2009
Yummy! I'll never need to go to the pizzeria again. I only added about three cups of vegetables total (red, yellow, green and orange bell peppers, red onion, torn up baby spinach, and lots of garlic). I sauteed all of it beforehand with olive oil, garlic salt and fresh ground pepper. I rubbed olive oil on the dough, sprinkled with italian seasoning, garlic salt, and basil. Added sun dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and chopped fresh tomatoes. Was sooooooooo good.

Bar-B-Que Sauce

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
Nice simple recipe. I didn't have cider vinegar so I used balsamic vinegar. I also used red pepper in place of mustard powder. Used as a chicken marinade for a couple of hours and cooked on the grill - very yummy. Next time I will double the recipe and save half to drizzle on when serving.

Strawberry Spinach Salad II

Reviewed: May 23, 2009
This was a wonderfully refreshing salad! I went with the advice of other reviews and cut the sugar - using 5 packets of spenda instead. I omitted poppy seed oil and poppy seeds as I didn't have any. I added a small amount of chopped red onion in place of the dried onions. I put cucumbers, sliced almonds, and the dressing on the side for people to choose. Mmmm it was so yummy - a great way to eat salad.

Pumpkin Roll II

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
Yummy! I haven't even had a roll yet (it's cooling) but my little nibbles here and there with a taste of the filling blew me away. I didn't use a dusted linen, but rather used waxed paper on both sides dusted with powder sugar. We did have a couple cracks in the cake, but this is probably due to our error mostly (first time making a roll cake). Next time I think I will add a little bit more pumpkin and add the walnuts in the filling rather than on the cake it's self. We made this a few days before Thanksgiving in case it didn't work - but I think it might all be gone before the big day!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
Had an overall good taste. I didn't grill, but baked in the oven at 350 for 35-45 minutes. Turned very tender and had a sweet taste similar to teriyaki. This chicken recipe was good, but not unbelievable.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
This had an overall good flavor. I didn't fry it in hopes to keep it somewhat healthy. I think I will fry it next time because it tasted a little floury. I also cooked more than 10 wings, I used breast cutlets instead, so next time I will use more sauce as well.

Cajun Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
Good taste, a lot of flavor. Not very spicy. I used olive oil and cut it down to 1 cup. There still seemed to be way too much oil - had to get rid of it. Didn't grill it either (winter time here in AK - too cold, brrr). Broiled it in the oven for 20 minutes and it was still very moist and yummy.
