I enjoy making soups and casseroles. To me these are comfort foods and good to have around year round.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One tradition that has been around in my family is baking cookies during Christmas. I enjoy trying out new cookie recipes. Once I am finished baking I make several plate fulls of cookies and hand them out to the neighbors for the holiday.

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak
I put this puppy in my crock pot all day yesterday at the high setting. To be honest I would not do anything different to this recipe!! Keep it as is. Still very flavorful and filling. Definately good to have on a cold winter evening.

Tater Tot Bake
This was good considering how simple it was. I did as other reviewers suggested, I added a layer of green beans on the bottom of the dish. Turned out great. It is not real often where you can have a one course meal. :)

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese
This turned out great! I tripled the recipe and made it for my daughter's soccer banquet. It wasn't even sitting out for 10 minutes before the dish was emptied.
