Banana Loaf Cake I

loved this, lots of banana flavour, very light texture and so easy to make. My only change was to use 1/2 a cup of white sugar and 1/2 a cup of brown sugar. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Slow Cooker Chicken Marrakesh

This was great, very easy to make and all natural. I changed the beans and substituted celery instead because my kids are not huge fans of beans, we all loved the delicate flavours and how they work together. Thank you for sharing this.

Pan Fried Swiss Chard

Love this recipe, I grow Swiss Chard in my garden every year and this is now my go to recipe for it. I also chop up the stems and biol them before I add them to the pan. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Slow-Cooked Short Ribs

Loved the overall recipe, I did make a couple of changes, I left out the butter, short ribs have a lot of fat and it seemed odd to put more in when they're being cooked. I also left out the sugar, my family have more savoury tastes and find meat sauces with sugar added very strange tasting, so that one is just a personal thing. My only other change was to add more flour because there is a lot of gravy with this dish. My family enjoyed it without the changes but they enjoy it even more with them. Thank you for sharing this with us.

This works for any steak, we halved the quantities because there are only 4 of us, apart from that I used Dijon mustard just because that's what I had and it worked great. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Easy Baking Powder Drop Biscuits

Yum! I did savoury these up though, instead of the sugar I added a teaspoon of garlic powder, fresh ground pepper and some grated cheese, my butter was salted anyway so there was no need for more to be added. We topped them with more grated cheese and a pinch of paprika.

My kids loved this, all I did was leave out the sugar, none of us has the north American sweet tooth. We will try this again, without the extra sugar, for a savory dish it was sweet enough already.

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Love this recipe. I made two changes, I didn't have time to use my slow cooker, so it was made on my stove top and when I found that my husband had used up all of my tomato sauce I substituted a large can of crushed tomatoes and left out the extra water. Because I used the stove top method I fried off my vegetables first and then added the rest of the ingredients. I will certainly make this again and thank you for sharing it.

Haricots Verts Lyonnaise

Loved this, it was very similar to a Haricot dish I had whilst on holiday in France. I did make a couple of changes though, I didn't have red wine vinegar, so I used cider vinegar instead and I didn't throw out the garlic, I kept it in the dish, I just added it when the onion had finished sweating. This is one you should try, all of my family loved it, even my picky eaters, thank you for sharing it with us.

Mango Blueberry Muffins With Coconut Streusel

Very good, I agree that the Blueberries overpowered the taste of the Mango and I did cut back on the sugar a little, none of us has a really sweet tooth and I find I cut the sugar on most recipes any way. I loved the idea and I'll try it again, they all went quickly. Thank you for the idea.

Italian Style Sausage

This is a humdinger of a good recipe, I didn't have the Anise seeds but saw that other people also made it without and I didn't add the salt, but then I cook without salt anyway. We used it in the 'Sausage Pasta' recipe also from this site. If I could give more stars then I would. Thank you for sharing.

Rhubarb Stir Cake

We all loved this recipe. I had run out of nutmeg so I used cinnamon and then after I'd finished baking it I read all of the reviews that said to use it instead :) a happy accident. In my oven this needed a bit longer than the 40 minutes. Apart from that my only difference was to leave out the salt, but that's just me! Thank you for a great recipe that will be used again and again

Onions Baked with Rosemary and Cream

I too took the skins off before cooking, but we'll be using this one again. We've just had a bumper crop of onions from our garden and this is a great idea and a nice change from your regular baked onions. Thank you for the recipe.

Foil Wrapped Veggies

I used a bag to shake the cut veg, herbs and olive oil in before cooking, that also worked really well. I've cooked this recipe on the grill and in the oven too when you use the oven if you have a veg with a high water content then you will have to open the packets at the end of cooking to let out some moisture just for a few minutes. I too have used a variety of veg including zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, parsnips and leeks, they all work well and taste great, thanks for a great idea.
