Im a happily married mother of 3 lovely children,ages 18,11 & 9.Two girls are the older ones and my baby boy.We live a very comfortable life and enjoy many things together. I love cooking for the holidays.Thanksgiving is my favorite.I also love to bake during the holidays.As fas as everyday cooking I like steak and pasta because they are so easy and time friendly. At Christmas time a family tradition is making a Christmas bread called Klaben.It's a German bread made with candied fruit with the main spice being cardimon.This bread is nothing like fruit cake,it has more of a white bread texture.I also have many cookies that I bake,cookies that my mother used to bake at Christmas time.This will be my first year baking the Klaben without my late mother Louise,whom I will miss very much this holiday season as well as my father Tom both of whom passed away earlier this year. Thanksgiving dinner is always a triump for me, luckily! My very first Thanksgivng dinner I left the gizzard pack in the turkey when I cooked it.Turned out ok, thank God!
