About this Cook
I am a young mother of 4 and I come from a large family. I am the oldest of 8 and am used to cooking for large crowds. I love singing, playing soccer, reading and being with my kids.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook italian, seafood, cookies, chicken and desserts. I am not a big fan of spicy foods but other than that, I enjoy almost cooking anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother comes from a large Italian family and her Italian traditions passed on to me. I remember our Pellegrino family thanksgivings and christmases and we always had a similar food spread. Those recipes are now part of my extended family!
My cooking triumphs
I love to take a recipe and add to it, make changes and create something that is unique to me. I have made some great dishes that people beg for the recipe including BBQ sauces, potato bakes that are to die for, and cookies with all different flavored chips. My most requested meal is my homemade chicken and sundried tomato alfredo over pasta. It is so good!
My cooking tragedies
When I first got married, I had little experiece cooking on my own. I observered my mom frequently growing up but never cooked by myself. I think that I have grown in my cooking talents but when I started, we had meals that definitely ended up in the trash more so than in our bellies!

Sweet Potato Casserole VI
I used brown sugar instead of white for the sweet potatoes and, didn't put the pecan topping on. Instead, used a half bag of mini marshmallows because my kids prefer that. Came out so wonderful! My mother-in-law loved it because she could taste the toasted marshmallows which definitely gave it a wonderful flavor!

Butternut Squash Bisque
Phenomenal! I only wished I had doubled to recipe! I used the heavy cream but, could have used half and half and I am sure it would have tasted almost the same! Used lots of nutmeg though! Such a wonderful flavor.

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing
I made this in my crock pot! Outstanding. I used fresh herbs and lots of turkey stock! Probably about 3 cups of stock and, increased the bread cubes to 7 cups! Then, had it in the crock pot on low for hours and stirred the stuffing every hour to ensure no burning! Most delicious stuffing I have ever had!
