About this Cook
I love to eat, and think that everything tastes better when you make it yourself.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Once a year, on Christmas Eve, my mom prepares the dough for her amazingly delicious sticky buns, so that Christmas morning when my family wakes up we have freshly baked buns that are the perfect prelude to opening our gifts.
My cooking triumphs
So far, I'm most proud of being able to cook a chicken pot pie from scratch, crust and all.

Stove Top Tofu Chili
Instead of using the water called for, I added some leftover spaghetti sauce I had on hand, which gave the soup the thicker consistency and full tomato flavor I was missing the first time I made it. Also added a liberal amount of garlic powder, and twice as much chili powder, to kick it up a notch ;)

Potatoes and Corn Soup
I omitted the celery, because I don't usually think it adds much, and it was great - so easy, and deliciously satisfying! Will definitely make again.
