About this Cook
My cooking triumphs
Lasagne using hand made pasta and bechamel sauce. Throwing a Mardi Gras party for 100 and serving all homemade Cajun/Creole dishes. The turtle soup was the best!
My cooking tragedies
Don't ever try to color a cheesecake...I did, and it end up blue. Not a very appealing color for cheesecake

Bruschetta I
Try actually putting the sliced bread on a real charcoal grill outside first. Toast each side so it has nice grill lines on it, and so the bread almost is burnt a bit on the edges, not just toasted. The "grilled" bread actually improves the overall taste and makes this more rustic and authentic. It takes extra work, but it's worth it.
