Peanut Butter and Chocolate Cheesecake
About this Cook
I am married to a wonderful man. We have a five year old daughter and a little boy born April 15, 2008. I am a stay at home mother and love spending time cooking for my family.
My favorite things to cook
Stir fry's, grill recipes, bar cookies, homemade breads, soups, cakes, I pretty much will try anything that sounds good.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I loved to help my mom in the kitchen when I was little, especially with making cookies. Now I am doing the same with my daughter. I have found that when she helps to make it she is excited to eat it, even if it contains things that she thinks she does not like.
My cooking triumphs
I have mastered that art of making cheesecake in the last year. I like to play around with a basic recipe that I have and add in all types of different flavors. Some so far are, pumpkin cheesecake, keylime cheesecake, cinnamon swirl, and my families favorite; oreo peanut butter cheesecake.
My cooking tragedies
I was making divinity for a friend for Christmas and was boiling the base and got sidetracked by my daughter and the mixture got to hot to say the least. The syrup turned black, setoff the smoke alarm and I ending up having to throw the pan out that I made it in because I could not get the burnt on sugar syrup mixture off no matter what. Needless to say my friend did not get divinity for christmas that year.

Pineapple Casserole II
This was good. Was a little rich, next time will cut down on the amount of sugar and use a reduced fat cheese.

Bacon Cheeseburger Upside Down Pizza
This was good and made for something different for a change. I added fresh garlic into my meat while cooking it and some pepper. I added in some onion powder, garlic powder, and basil into the topping mixture. Left out the tomatoes and green peppers because I know my daughter will not eat them.
