Big Bear Stew
I didn't have any bear, but beef stew meat. I needed a recipe for turnips and this is very good. I also added some whole allspice and parsnip, as well as whole pepper kernels instead of ground. I'd only suggest to add the turnips and mushrooms about 1/2hr before the end as they got rather soft. Otherwise it's very tasty, even my 15mo old enjoyed it!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic
I just love mashed sweet potatoes for T-Day and this was perfect. I used local sweet potatoes and some extra spices (all spice, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg). I also exchanged the white sugar with brown and cut back on the additional brown sugar for the topping (using regular brown, not light). Wasn't quite sure about the directions in #4 - I just threw 4 ingredients in my Cuisinart until fine.

Crunchy Bagel Chips
Quite quick and easy to make, especially ahead of time. One review found that they didn't hold up the next day. I found that too but the 3rd day they were good again. Not sure why, maybe they really need to cool out & dry out before putting them away. I made a big batch for a party and had plenty of leftovers to snack on, still tasting good after a week stored air-tight - then they were gone :(
