Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This is awesome bread. I used a Cinnamon Plus blend from Pampered Chef and used 1 tablespoon to replace all of the spices. Also I warmed the canned Pumpkin mixed with the spices to bring out the flavor of the spices (also called blooming) and added that to the wet ingredients. I accidently forgot to add the water, but the bread came out both times just wonderful. I also put the butter, Cinnamon Plus (you could use Pumpkin Pie spice) and sugar glaze over the bread after coming out of the oven and poking holes in the top. I've already made two batches and am about to start the third. Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Awesome corn! I had to scale it to 2, but I wished that I had bought more corn. Excellent flavors, unexpectedly wonderful.

Mini Cheesecakes I

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
Made these for my friend's birthday party! She absolutely loved them. I too used the mini nilla wafers to save time (One box will make 4 batches), and I used a small scoop that holds about 1 T (Pampered Chef)for portion control. This also saved me time on clean up! Thanks for the great recipe!

Dijon Grilled Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 21, 2008
"These are the best tasting pork chops I have ever tasted!" This from my DH at least 3 times during the meal! I served these with grilled fresh pineapple, and potato salad. I used 3/4 in thick boneless porkchops and tenderized them with a heavy spiked tenderizer (Pampered Chef), and then marinated for 2 1/2 hours. The only thing I added to the marinade was 1/2 teaspoon groung black pepper. I basted the reserved marinade 2 times during grilling over medium charcoal for about 6 minutes per side. Fabulous!

Super Fajita Marinade

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Excellent marinade! It was a hit at our mexican dinner party! I marinated it for almost 24 hours and the meat literally melted in our mouths. Be sure to use good quality meat (I used ribeye steak). I also tenderized the meat with a heavy weighted spiked tenderizer (Pampered Chef) I can't wait to make it again!

Mama D's Italian Bread

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
This bread was very good! I think if I make it again I will not make the full recipe, as it makes so much bread (I've served it 3 times and still have 1 loaf in the freezer!) But the directions were excellent and it made my first time italian bread a success!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
This is a 10 star recipe! I have made this several times, and the last time I made it for 50 people! It is always so juicy and tender! I make sure to let it marinate at least 6 hours, but the 24 is the best! Even my husband who doesn't really like chicken, loved this!

This recipe is amazing! I have made it several times, and even though I didn't have hazelnuts, I used almonds and it was fantastic! I doubled the mushrooms and onions because we love them! Terrific!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
If I could give this recipe 10 stars I would. I made the marinade early in the day and let it set all day before grilling. We reserved the marinade to baste while grilling on a ceramic coated grill tray. This was so flavorful and flakey tender! I can't wait to make it again.

Simple Sicilian Salad Dressing

I really enjoyed this dressing! Just the right amount of each ingredient! It is better if made the day before. I enjoy it at room temp rather than refridgerated. This dressing is much better than you can buy!

Charleston Breakfast Casserole

This is a very flavorful recipe. I read the reviews before making and debated about including the crutons. I ended up using them, and though I liked it very much, my husband who is picky about textures didn't like them. So next time I will try hashbrowns instead. Thanks for the recipe!

Emma's Belgian Waffles

Wow! What wonderful waffles! The first time I made them I forgot and left out the vanilla, and using maple syrup they were still great! The second time, I included the vanilla, and I think they would have been better with butter pecan syrup instead of maple. Thanks for the recipe!

Easy Lemon Cookies

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Excellent cookie! I also exchanged the lemon extract for zest of one lemon (grated with microplane) and fresh lemon juice (I juiced 3/4 of a large lemon). This made the batter stickier, so I refrigerated them for 30 minutes, and used a small scoop to scoop them. I didn't use the powdered sugar, but was going to ice them. After tasting, they didn't need the icing! Thanks for the recipe!

Darra's Famous Tuna Waldorf Salad Sandwich Filling

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2008
By far the best Tuna Salad filling I have ever tasted. I didn't have curry, so I substituted paprika, and I had dill relish instead of sweet. Used not quite 1/2 c mayo for 7 1/2 oz of tuna. This is definately on my list for quick lunches. Thanks Darra!

What a fantastic punch! The flavors are a nice blend, and everyone at my new years party loved it! It wasn't overpowering, and it was very refreshing! Will make again. I enjoyed it more than I do the bottled fruit spirits!
