About this Cook
My hunny and I have been together for 8 years but just got engaged in Aug of 08. We have two girls. Two dogs. Three cats. Oh yeah and did I say I am a school bus driver? I am learning to knit. I love to do crafts. We all love to camp, fish, hike, watch movies, play board games, and just have fun together.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook all sorts of things, but I do have to say the recipies handed down from former generations of Italian are the most rewarding. The nostalgia that comes with cooking these dishes is amazing. I also bake cakes, and decorate them as a side job. SOOOOOOOOO much fun, (but the secret is~ I dont like to eat cake!!!LOL)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas baking. We give plates of 12 different kinds of cookies to our friends and family for Christmas. My girls get into it, and sometimes so does dad. Second is making pumpkin pie from the pumpkins in the fall. Third is every night they both help to do something to make dinner.
My cooking triumphs
Most of my cooking comes out edible. So thats a triumph. I always try to do a recipe twice if its bad both times it goes in the not so good book.
My cooking tragedies
Ive had many. I sometimes get impatient which is bad sometimes when it comes to cooking. I have had many almost burnt nights where the food is still edible but.......well I know that I have to watch it closer next time and turn the dang flame down!!!!!!!!!!

Best Tuna Melt (New Jersey Diner Style)
Perfect. I lived in Jersey for 2 years 12 years ago, and have tried many times to get my melts to taste like this. Its the vinager. Thats what makes it just like a Jersey diner. Thank you soooooo much. PS I did add a little granulated garlic to the mix. It enhances the flavor of the tuna. :) Thank you again
