About this Cook
I am a film school student. I don't have much time to cook anymore, but I do have three roommates so when I do get to cook, I get to cook for a crowd because we usually have people over for dinner. Cooking and baking is my main hobby and pretty much all I do in my spare time.
My favorite things to cook
The spicier the better but I hate real peppers. I love chicken, beef, meatballs, stir-fry, pizza, wine sauces.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pretty much everything I know in the kitchen is from experimenting and just fooling around. I always bring goodies to school and give them to anyone I can convince to try it. I can definitely say it's boosted my popularity; I'm now 'that cool girl that brings cookies to art class every Friday'. I have almost zero sweet tooth, but everyone around me has the exact opposite so I'm really good with desserts, but I'll almost never eat them. I really love cooking more than baking because I get to enjoy it too.

Mom's Best Waffles
I made these for dinner the other night. I thought they were a bit rubbery but everyone that came over for dinner absolutely loved them. They also didn't rise very much so they were very thin, but that may have been the result of my waffle maker, which is rather old but new to me, so I'm not familiar with it. If it was just me, I'd give this a three, but the rave reviews of my guest were a five, so I'll average it out.

Ranch Dressing II
I only put in about 2 tbs. mayonaisse and about 1-2 cups sour cream (depending on how much I need) as well as about 3 tbs buttermilk powder, then season to taste. It is absolutely delicious! The only ranch I eat anymore and I use it all the time!

Kung Pao Chicken
I made this with beef. It was okay, but really nothing special. I don't think I'll make it again.
