About this Cook
I'm divorced with a five year daughter. I've always loved to cook, although desserts not as much as an extravagant dinner. My boyfriend of over one year has inspired me to cook Indian food, and I have fell madly in love with it!
My favorite things to cook
Anything Indian or Mexican. Especially Indian food. I've only been cooking it for about one year now, but I've gotten the tastes down pretty well; what goes with what.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make a Sweet Potato Souffle every year for Thanksgiving. My paternal grandmother always comments on it and eats several helpings. There usually is very little that makes it back home.
My cooking triumphs
My very first try at cooking Indian food was chicken Tikka Masala and basmati rice. We'd been going to a local (woodstock) indian restaurant and getting it there. YUM. My boyfriend freaked out and totally loved it. I make it every chance i get now.

Chicken Tikka Masala
i make this weekly, only i do follow the suggestions to add a lot less salt. And i double the sauce to have extra, so good the next day. My boyfriend is from India and he thinks he's died and gone to heaven, this is so easy and so delicious! I serve it with the basmati recipe and flat bread as i can not for the live of me make naan.

Wendy's Indian Butter Chicken
omg we loved this recipe! the only thing i did differntly was i followed the suggestion to add one cup of cream, but only half a cup of butter. and i cooked the chicken seperately, seasoned with salt and garam masala as it cooked. Then i stirred it in and let it simmer for about 20 more minutes. Too delicious!
