About this Cook
I am a wife, mum, grandma and independent spirit who loves people and life. I have always loved to cook since my teens. I come from a family of great cooks and it is a hobby that I find relaxing and enjoyable when things are going to plan.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook most things that are good to eat. I am currently a semi-quasi vegetarian - if there is such a creature. However, I still enjoy meat, but as I get older I have a lesser taste for it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Caribbean cuisine. My parents own a restaurant and take out service and specialise in caribeean food. My brother is also promoting a Jerk Sauce/seasoning that he has created. As a family we have done several food festivals and had a stall at the Notting Hill carnival 2 years ago.As for me although I love caribbean food I also love to be a bit more adventurous and try out different cultures cusine.
My cooking triumphs
I baked a caribbean rum cake for a friends daughter's birthday party and I was the belle of the ball that day. It was great having so many compliments. Although I have baked many cakes since, that one in particular, had a special flavour that I have never been able to fully replicate - Still trying :-)
My cooking tragedies
I have had a few - where do I start.....?

Easy Key Lime Pie I
Absolutely scrumptious - I could have eaten the whole pie by myself - no problem.
