About this Cook
I've always enjoyed cooking for friends and family. Now that I'm married I love finding recipes that make my husband say "Damn Baby!"
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, so I love finding interesting variations on using eggs.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I'm part Cuban so I had the luxury of learning a lot of recipes from that part of my culture. Also, I learned to appreciate cooking with family, I can remember sitting at the kitchen table with my grandmother rolling Albondigas and Croquetas, that's something I'll always treasure. Now, the best nights are those when my husband and I take the time to prepare elaborate meals for ourselves, side by side in our tiny kitchen.
My cooking triumphs
Making a thanksgiving dinner even my mother-in-law couldn't complain about!

Chicken Avocado Pizza
This turned out fantastic! We had left overs and they were fantastic the next day too! Did not make any changes this time around, however next time I think I will add some fresh sliced onions on top. Again, absolutely wonderful.

Kickin' London Broil with Bleu Cheese Butter
I have never cooked a London broil before, so I was a little hesitant about overcooking it. I followed the directions exactly as written and the meat turned out fantastic. I had to increase the rub recipe a bit and added a smidgen more cayenne, but other than that everything stayed the same. My husband, my guest and I enjoyed it so much that we managed to consume the entire 3 lbs I prepared and were still craving more. My only warning is, the blue cheese can be a bit overpowering, be careful that you don't go over the recommended amount in the recipe. All in all a wonderful, simple, quick, and delicious recipe everyone should try. Kudos to the chef!

Goldenrod Eggs
I just made this and it turned out fantastic. I added about 2 tablespoons shredder cheddar to give it a cheesier taste. Next time I'll try serving it over some sliced prosciutto, bacon, or ham to see how that tastes. I can only imagine that it will be wonderful.
