Just really started seriously cooking two to three years ago. My husband is a real meat and potatoes kind of guy and mainly I enjoy seeing if I can satisfy that picky tongue of his. I enjoy introducing him to different dishes and cultures and am learning as I go. I must be doing pretty well because it's been weeks since I've drummed up something he doesn't like.
I am always on the look out for good healthy quick meals, as I am a full time working mother. It's on the weekends where I can really take my time and put extra effort into the meals I prepare, so Saturdays and Sundays are always big meal days with the smells of roasts drifting through the house.

Roasted Garlic Flat Iron Steak

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup
I made this tonight and even my picky kids loved it! From reading the other recipes and for a lack of vegetable broth, I used all chicken broth and added minced garlic. This is a keeper! Thanks.

Baked Beans, Texas Ranger
I just made this with dinner last night and it was BIG hit. Even my finiky 8 year old said, "Mom, I LOVE this! You're the best cook!" Everyone had second helpings. Thank you.
