Hornets Nest Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
I made this cake with only the exception of using white chocolate/chocolate chips instead of butterscotch chips. It was a hit and the cake was eaten with in a day. I will make this again and again!

This is one of my most requested cakes! I just love it!I have variations of it. However, I usually make it with Duncans Hines Dark Chocolate Cake Mix without making this cake from scratch!

Orange Juice Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2007
I made this cake and it was an instant success. My co-workers gobbled it all up. Wonderful Cake! I made edits to this recipe. 1 Box of Duncan Hines Orange Supreme Cake Mix (instead of the yellow mix) 1 Box of Orange Jello mix along with 1 Box of the Vanilla Pudding mix Orange Zest added to cake mix. I also add the orange zest to the glaze. When still hot in the pan, I poke holes in the cake and pour the glaze over the cake. Let it sit for 15 minutes to absorb all of the mixture before flipping the cake. All the juice should be absorbed into the cake before flipped. I love this cake and will plan on making it again. It WAS TRULY A HIT!

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2007
Oh Yeah! I know I have died and gone to heaven with this Cake. Absolutely the best cake and I know that my co-workers will simply rave about this cake. You simply cannot appreciate how good this cake is if you skimp on the recipe. Yes, it is very rich but oooooooooohhhhh sssssoooooooo good! At 350 Degrees Baked for 35 minutes. The crust around the edges is just right. I just love this recipe and plan on making this cake again and again. This is absolutely a KEEPER! I will certainly be adding a photo of this masterpiece of a RECIPE!

Ugly Duckling Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
When I was making this cake, I thought after putting the Brown sugar and pecans on top of the batter and putting it in the oven that I was absolutely going to hate this cake. First. the only addition that I added to this cake was Lemon Pudding Mix in the Cake mix. There are many versions of this cake and this one I chose to make. IT WAS AWESOME! I thought I had died and gone to heaven. When I made the glaze for the top of the cake, I was sure this cake was not going to work. But I was very wrong. This cake looks really sweet. But it truly is NOT. The glaze melts the brown sugar in the cake. I also poked holes in the cake before I spread the glaze on top of the still warm cake! I brought this to work the next day and they ate it up! I will make this recipe again. Just Great!

Italian Love Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
As per other Posters, after preparing this cake I put saran wrap over the cake and put the pudding topping on the cake the next day.You can also put the pudding on the cake but be sure to put it in the Fridge. The 2nd, 3rd and even 4th day was even better. However, I very rarely have any left after the 1st day! It was simply awesome. All the flavors from the cake stay moist and the taste of the ricotta cheese was not overwhelming. I think this cake is better the next day and the 3rd day after making this cake. The key is letting the cake really set before serving. My kids loved this cake but hated the taste just after preparing it. I know we were anxious to taste it. Letting it sit in the fridge for 24 hours is worth the wait! This is a great cake to make for a function the next day. I recommend not frosting the cake until the next day. I sometimes add a little heavy cream. Part Milk/Part cream to the pudding mix. Love it! I will make this again and again! I have made this 5 times and it has simply been a hit each time. I am making another one tonight for the Office tommorrow! Thank You! Thank You! Just Awesome! I have also posted a picture of the Cake too!
