Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2009
This is exactly how I do my turkey burgers. To avoid dryness though, the trick is to add 1 tablespoon olive oil to the mix. Sometimes instead of soy sauce I'll do worchestire sauce or a couple tablespoons of barb-q sauce. I add 1 teas of fresh garlic too. Yum.

cookies came out too sticky on my parchment paper after I baked them, and found I had to cook them for 15 min. they weren't the best. I'll go back to my old stand by coconut cookie recipe.

White Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
I make these every Christmas in white and dark chocolate. I use a tall heavy drinking glass lightly sprayed w/cooking spray. I use 1 tablespoon of butter flavored crisco along w/the white chocolate and microwave for 1-1/2 min. and stir w/butter knife till smooth, this way you can tip the glass and roll the pretzel rod in the chocolate, add your favorite sprinkles and set on top of wax paper. Easy.

The Ultimate Chili

This was really good, just enough spice and heat. I did some adjustments. I used red beans instead of Kidney (personal preference) and did 2 lg cans of tomato sauce and 1 large can diced tomato's w/chiles, but added spices as directed. I left out the wine, again personal preference. will keep intial recipe, thanks.

same recipe my Mom had, except we used real yellow mustard, sometimes after I use the paprika I slice a green olive in 1/2 and place that on top of the egg to dress it up.

French Breakfast Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
The batter was just like a cake. I let the muffins cool about 5 min before dipping into the melted butter and sugar. Had my son and his girlfriend over for breakfast, he took the rest home to his dorm. I'll keep this recipe. Thanks.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2008
At first I was taken aback by the pounds of potatoes, wow. Narrowed that one down. Really good recipe. I have a similar one that calls for addtl' ingredients such as garden vegetable cream cheese (8 oz.tub) and real bacon bits. I think this one is a little less fattening.

Microwave Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
I have a recipe like this but it calls for spraying the inside of the bag with a non stick spray. Not sure if that's because of the chemicals used in processing paper bags, once the heat from the microwave hits it, make me weary. Still a good recipe though. Any thoughts??

for those insisting on sour cream, why not use non fat or reduced fat sour cream? I'm sure Emily's Onion Dip was to keep it low fat by using the yogurt. (smile)

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
I am happy to report this turned out fantastic ! I used olive oil and a teas. of butter flavored seasoning (on the 2nd batch to try it, great!) stirred in the oil, and placed the bag upright. I did 2--1/2 min. afraid to go longer, but next time I'll use a little less popcorn/oil, was nervous the bag would over flow or burn. Popcorn was crispy and very delicious !!!

Cherry Meringue Dessert

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2008
Will make again. Very nice dessert, refreshing change. I used sugar free cool whip and added a teas. of vanilla extract to rid of store bought taste, may try coconut extract to the whip cream next time. Cherries looked like they covered more on the picture here w/the recipe, mine didn't look as full/pretty, so next time may add an additional cup of whip cream and do one and 1/2 can of cherries. Thanks for the recipe.

Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

for those with meatballs falling apart in the crockpot or lack of flavor, just prebake the meatballs for 10--15 min, added 1 tablespoon italian seasoning to the sauce, 1 bay leaf (remove after cooking) and 1 tablespoon sugar (brings out richness)then add the meatballs. Should help w/flavor etc;
